How Can We Have Water For The Beauty industry While 2/3 Of The World Live Under Water Stressed Conditions?

How Can We Have Water For The Beauty industry While 2/3 Of The World Live Under Water Stressed Conditions?

As of 2025, an estimated 1.8 billion people will be living in nations with absolute water shortages, while two-thirds of the global population would be living in water-strained circumstances. This is a frightening truth. Because water is so essential to life on Earth, shouldn't we make every effort to preserve it?

With the water crisis continuing, how can we produce and sell beauty products while 2/3 of world population lives in an environment with limited resources? How can #waterlessbeauty companies like Nuez Acres help you conserve this precious resource?

The world's water supply is getting low. Since two thirds of the world's population is likely to live in situations of scarcity that negatively affect human health, one-third of the population will be unable to access or get enough supplies by 2025 if nothing is done to protect this unique natural resource.

With one-third of the world's population living in nations where water is limited or strained, conservation efforts should be at the top of your priority list.

Is there a way to accomplish this? Starting with turning off valves when no one is using them; only flush toilets when required (and even then, use less); and being careful not to make huge blunders like chopping down trees without considering the long-term consequences! Consider building metro pipes to transport rainwater across long distances away from times of highest rainfall.

Water is a need for us. Isn't it crucial that we make every effort to maintain it? There is a good chance by 2025, one billion people will live in countries where there is absolute scarcity, and two-thirds of the world's population will be living in stressful conditions because they lack clean drinking water on a daily basis, which means that if natural disasters like tsunamis occur, these people will be even more vulnerable.

Figures and facts

  • Agricultural usage accounts for 72% of total water withdrawals; municipal use accounts for 16%; and industrial use accounts for 12%. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UN-Water 2021)
  • The term 'water-stressed' refers to a situation when a region has exhausted 25% or more of its renewable freshwater supplies. One location has severe water stress, while two other regions have water stress levels of at least 25 percent. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UN-Water 2021)
  • About 733 million of the world's 2.3 billion people live in nations that are very or severely water-stressed. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UN-Water 2021)
  • 1.2 billion people – nearly one-sixth of the world's population – live in highly water-constrained agricultural regions, which account for 3.2 billion people in agricultural areas with high to extremely high water deficits or scarcity.
  • More than half of the world's population now lives in locations that are highly or very vulnerable to flooding, including 450 million children. (United Nations Children's Fund, 2021)
  • Nearly two-thirds of the world's population, over 4 billion people, suffer from acute water shortages at least once a year (Mekonnen and Hoekstra, 2016)
  • By 2030, severe water shortages may force the eviction of 700 million people throughout the globe. (Global Water Institute, 2013))
  • Nearly half of the world's population now spends at least one month of the year in water-scarce places, and that number is expected to rise to between 4.8 and 5.7 billion by 2050. Asia is home to the vast majority of those impacted (about 73%). (69 percent by 2050). Burek and colleagues (2016)
